FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 12, 2008

Munchkinland Market Days: 10:00am to 6:00pm at The Yellow Brick Road Giftshop and Oz Fantasy Museum, 109 E. Yellow Brick Road, just off Highway 49. Directions.

Friday Afternoon Autograph Parties: Munchkin, Celebrity, and Special Guest autograph sessions held in businesses throughout Porter County from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Locations to be announced.

6:00pm-11:00pm, A TRIBUTE TO JUDY GARLAND: Our premier semi-formal event.  An adult evening featuring a lavish prime rib and chicken dinner, live entertainment by the famous female impersonator Danny Windsor.  Danny also played a flying monkey in THE WIZARD OF OZ movie.

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 13, 2008

9:00am - 6:00pm; Arts, crafts, and food booths. Live entertainment.

"Dreams Come True"

Main Hall - Expo Center

If you did not have the opportunity to witness history first hand last November in Hollywood when the Munchkins got their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, this is your chance to re-live history with those who were there!  Meet Ted Bulthaup, III, who worked tirelessly with such notable celebrities as Steven Spielberg and George Lucas to make the Munchkins dream come true.

11:00am - 1:00pm: OZAPALOOZA- Free games.

12:00pm: Lion Look-A-Like Contest  - Look-A-Like Land

Noon - 2:00pm DOROTHY'S BIRTHDAY PARTY hosted by the Costumed Characters: This popular event will feature up close and personal time with the Festival's official characters.

12:30pm: Dorothy Look-A-Like Contest (Ages 0-3): Look-A-Like Land

12:30pm: Dorothy Calling Contest: Look-A-Like Land

1:00pm - 3:00pm: Munchkin Autograph Session:

 Location: Celebrity Court.

The Munchkins reserve the right not to sign items for commercial dealers. You are allowed to bring one (1) personal item.

Admission Tickets ($4 each) go on sale one half (1/2) hour prior to session.  Limited to 50 tickets per EACH HALF (1/2) HOUR session.  Each celebrity autograph is $5, payable directly to the celebrity.

1:00pm: Dorothy Look-A-Like Contest (ages 4-6): Look-A-Like Land

1:45pm: Scarecrow Look-A-Like Contest: Look-A-Like Land

2:00pm: Dorothy Look-A-Like Contest (ages 7-9): Look-A-Like Land

3:00pm: Dorothy Look-A-Like Contest (ages 10-12): Look-A-Like Land

3:00pm - 4:30pm Official Costumed Characters: All will be available for photo opportunities.  Location to be announced.

3:00pm - 4:30pm OZ IDOL: Preliminary Rounds.  Here's your chance to be crowned champion of the Indiana Wizard of Oz Festival's Innaugural OZ IDOL!  Hosted by "Ozzy Emerald."  Final Round and crowning to take place on Sunday afternoon.

3:30pm: The Wicked Witch Look-A-Like Contest: Look-A-Like Land

4:00pm: Glinda Look-A-Like Contest: Look-A-Like Land

4:30pm: Tin Man Look-A-Like Contest: Look-A-Like Land

7:00pm - 10:00pm JUDY-OZ EXCHANGE: Judy and Memorabilia and Auction, oh my! The Judy-Oz Exchange is an event targeted towards the serious OZ collector.

The 4th Annual Hat Contest will take place at 7:00pm.
